Scientists Find World’s Smallest Snake
Isn’t it amazing how scientists find new species every day? Well, this story is amazing, but true. It is a new discovery of a snake that is so small it is roughly the size of a quarter. It looks like a little worm, but in fact, it is a snake. You can read the story here at AOL News: Scientists find World’s Smallest Snake
The snake was found in Barbados and its scientific name is: Leptotyphlops carlae. I recommend that you read the article and view the attached slide show, it chronicles a number of new animal discoveries. Some of the other latest animal discoveries include a Trapdoor Spider, a Dwarf Cloud Rat (not necessarily new-just rare), a Six Legged Octopus (now that’s almost an oxymoron), a Golden Frog and a lovely Giant Rat (not so lovely, really) but you have to see it to appreciate it.
